S&P 500 futures are higher this morning as the index looks to rebound from three straight losing sessions.

Here are five key things investors need to know to start the trading day:

1. Home stretch

Wall Street has officially entered the last quarter of the calendar year, but isn't heading into the final three-month stretch of 2026 with too much momentum.

Here are the moves to know:

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 4% in September, snapping its five-month winning streak.
  • The S&P 500 recorded its third losing month of the last four, but the index was still able to end the third quarter in the green.
  • The Nasdaq Composite outperformed in September, aided in part by Meta's biggest one-month rally since 2022.
  • The 10-year and 30-year Treasury yields continued climbing to cap off the month. The 10-year rose 4 basis points overnight to hit its highest level since 2002.
  • With respective gains of more than 14% and 5%, Brent and WTI crude each saw their third straight positive month.

Micron beat Wall Street's expectations on both lines in the fiscal fourth quarter, reporting an 11-fold increase in data center revenue during the period. The memory maker also offered better-than-expected guidance for the current quarter.
