Trump Announces ‘Super Intelligence Force’ That Raises Super-Sized Questions About The Future Of AI
In today’s column, I examine the new announcement made by President Trump about the establishment of what he refers to as an AI “Super Intelligence Force”. His announcement comes on the heels of two other prominent activities that he undertook earlier this week: (1) Trump issued an official Executive Order (EO) renaming AI to Super Intelligence, and (2) asked and got some big-time AI makers to sign a pledge associated with AI safety.
This third element regarding the Super Intelligence Force (SIF) is perhaps part of a trifecta this week in terms of highly visible White House actions related to the present and future status of AI. I’ve previously analyzed the name-swap EO that came out on September 29, 2026; see the link here. I also assessed the pledge signed by AI makers concerning AI safety that likewise occurred on September 29, 2026; see the link here. Thus, it is fitting to complete the trio by analyzing this newly announced Super Intelligence Force.
Let’s talk about it. This analysis of AI breakthroughs is part of my ongoing Forbes column coverage of the latest in AI, including identifying and explaining key AI complexities (see the link here).

I will walk you through the key points of the posting and give you my assessment of what it all means.
